It’s gone too far. I used to be a good Republican. I listened to Rush. I supported the economy. I went to church. I agreed that we needed less government and less taxes. And I still believe all that (well I don’t listen to Rush….that was soo 1995).

The governement that is in place now has got to be removed though. I’m not just talking about Bush. I mean the entire flipping thing. This new “torture law” has pushed me over the edge. NO ONE has the right to subject another person to our laws and not have the rights that were passed in the constitution and the bill of rights apply. What do I mean? If an “enemy combatant” is tried by US Military or anyone remotely related to the US then they should have the same rights. That is being taken away. And basically our governement, not just Bush, is giving the finger to the Geneva Convention by passing this bill. I do mean everyone in our government.

Many times the minority has been able to block a bill from passing even on the most trivial of points. If they can no pull the same kinds of stunts with this bill then they are just as guilty.

Will not be a car at all.  This is what I’m saving for now.  Once my current car is paid off I will be buying one these.

What’s cooler is that you can add an electric motor to them and get up to 30mph!

As part of the new ride I think my next experiment is going 6 months with riding my bike to work every day.  I think it will be much easier than previous experiments.  With 6 months though I will have to experience most of the yearly weather changes that Kansas City has to offer.

The Pope says Islam is a violent religion. Some Muslims respond by killing a nun, rioting, and burning effigies of the Pope…all the while claiming they are not violent.

ummmm HUH?!

The BBC posted on the issue saying:

“Influential Qatari Muslim scholar, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, called for a day of anger on Friday.”  Day of Anger eh?  hmmm  ok.

Now I have met many Muslims and the ones I’ve met are great people and not violent at all. But killing another person because someone called you violent? I don’t get it. I just don’t get it at all.

So I know going out in public can be a big event, specially for some.  Honestly though, shouldn’t you be evaluating your life if going to WalMart requires geting “dressed up”?  If that is true please, oh please, don’t let me see the dressed down version!

hmmmm….uh why the emphasis on Doctor.  While you’re here can you write me a persciption for some allergy medicine?  Oh you’re a DOCTOR of ENGLISH.  hmmm…. ok.

Why is it that a lot of people who have a Ph.D. in something non-medical are always so extremely insistant that you call them DOCTOR?  Yeah I’m working on a second degree right now, but ya know, I don’t go around saying “I’m DOUBLE BACHELOR John Doe”

Ok, so getting a doctorate is an accomplishment but honestly, most people don’t care, why force it on everyone?

Oh yeah today on the way home from work I was following a police office who with in a 4 block distance committed no less than 4 traffic violations.  One of which was totally cutting me off without even signaling.  Maybe it really isn’t a law any more……hmmmmmm
